Building on the client’s excellent preparatory work, TIMARK transformed a basic footpath outline into a professional, long-lasting installation that dramatically enhanced the property’s functionality and curb appeal. The client had already cut out the pathway shape and infilled it with hardcore sub-base, providing us with an ideal foundation to work from.
Our team began by meticulously regulating the stone sub-base, creating the correct falls essential for effective water drainage and preventing pooling on the pathway surface. After thorough compaction of the hardcore to ensure stability and longevity, we addressed a critical drainage concern by installing an ACO drainage channel along the property’s perimeter—a proactive solution preventing water from threatening the building’s foundation.
The pathway itself showcases premium Indian sandstone slabs laid in an attractive random pattern, bordered by decorative tegular paving blocks that add visual interest and definition. This thoughtful design creates much-needed space on both sides of the driveway, solving the practical problem of accessing parked vehicles whilst simultaneously elevating the property’s street presence.
The pathway elegantly extends around the side of the property, providing convenient access to the side gate and creating a continuous, cohesive circulation route. The completed installation transforms the entrance experience, combining practical functionality with aesthetic appeal that makes arriving home a genuine pleasure.
