Pump House Pads

This critical infrastructure project for Avonmouth Port involved installing new reinforced concrete pad foundations to support replacement pumps essential for port operations. Without functional pumps, ships cannot access the port, making this work of paramount importance to regional commerce.

TIMARK delivered precise positioning of multiple concrete pads to exact specifications for new pipework support, whilst creating a structural opening through the pump house fabric for pipe penetration. The most challenging internal pad was located deep below sea level in an extremely restrictive access environment, with constant water ingress and high ambient noise levels throughout construction.

When initial engineering designs conflicted with site realities, our team worked collaboratively with port authorities and consulting engineers to develop practical solutions without compromising structural integrity or timelines. Successfully delivering the port’s most critical contract at that time, TIMARK proved our capability to manage complex civil engineering projects in challenging environments whilst maintaining the exacting standards demanded by critical infrastructure work.
